Cloud 9 Enrichment: Pre-K

The Cloud 9 pre-K (ages 3-4) offering is a unique program that places a strong emphasis on music, movement, intentional crafts, nature, play, and mind-body connection. The program is designed by homeschooling parents who are also experienced elementary education professionals (as well as a certified dance therapist and licensed mental health counselor) to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for preschool-aged children who are being homeschooled.

  • Music & Movement

We believe in the power of music to engage young minds and foster creativity. Through interactive music sessions, children will have the opportunity to explore various instruments, learn basic rhythms, and participate in fun and educational music activities. Movement is an integral part of our program, as we understand the importance of physical activity for young children's development. Our co-op incorporates age-appropriate movement exercises, dance, and yoga to promote gross motor skills, coordination, and body awareness.

  • Intentional Crafting

Intentional crafts in our program play a vital role in promoting child development and foster critical thinking and decision-making. These carefully chosen crafts encourage creativity, connection to the seasons and world around us, enhance fine motor skills, and support cognitive growth. Children engage in hands-on art projects to explore their imagination, express themselves, and fuel creative confidence. These activities also improve hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and control over movements. We focus more on honoring the process, and less on the final project.

  • The Power of Play

At Cloud 9 we believe play to be a crucial factor for children's overall holistic development, including their mind-body connection. It allows them to explore, learn, and develop cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills. Through play, children improve motor skills, concentration, and academic engagement while also stimulating the brain, fostering problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking. Play promotes social interaction, emotional well-being, and the development of social skills and relationships.
